Cary Wingfield Raditz
Cary Wingfield Raditz, CFA, resides with his family in Silver Spring, Maryland, and is a legal resident of Kenya. He is founder and Director Strategist of Wingfield Investment Services, a Kenyan company providing investment strategy, innovative and practical solutions to institutional customers. A founder and Treasurer of the East African Society of Investment Professionals—EASIP—he has a Masters Degree in Development Banking from the American University, has been a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) since 1997, member of the CFA Institute, and privileged to serve as a Grader for the CFA Exams. He currently serves as a member of the Disciplinary Review Committee which enforces the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of the CFA Institute.
Cary has 25 years experience in international banking, investment strategy, portfolio strategic asset allocation, consulting, micro-SME finance, relationship management and business development. He has lived and worked in the US, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, Asia and the Caribbean. At Chemical Bank, New York, he was an International Banking Officer in the World Banking Group, and at Barents Group/KPMG, Manager of the Specialty Finance consulting practice.
Cary intends to attract capital markets investment into restoration of devastated ecosystems in Africa. In the related area of sustainable forestry, he was co-author of “Opportunities and Constraints to Investment in Natural Tropical Forest Industries,” produced for Forest Trends in 2005 on behalf of the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO).
