  Established: 1998

Jane Goodall Institute

EEMP helped to organize Jane Goodall's first five visits to China (1998-2002), and helped to publish two books for Jane Goodall--Children's Participation and Conservation and My Life with the Chimpanzees.

EEMP has also produced a documentary about Jane Goodall and China for National Geographic (2002)-- Jane Goodall - China Diary.

Jane Goodall is now well-known all over China, thanks to great media coverage and her perfect message. The Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) has locations in Beijing and Shanghai and ROOTS & SHOOTS are present with hundreds of clubs all over the country.

December 2005 marked Jane's eighth visit to China.
